SOWDNA in Pacific/Asia Report

Imagine School of Worship leaders believing for passports and visas and plane tickets and finances to travel hours and hours from their country to Indonesia for three power-packed days of fellowship and impartation. They came from four locations in the vast subcontinent of India and Nepal, from the island of Jeju in Korea, from the busy hub of Antipolo, Philippines, from the large UofN center in Perth, Australia, and from two separate islands in Indonesia.

Twenty SOW leaders converged at the YWAM base in Jimbaran, Bali two weeks ago to meet one another, share their stories, hear the SOW story from the "founding fathers": Bob&Kathy Fitts, Pete Sifuentes and Kevin Norris.

Yes, the School of Worship is alive and well and multiplying in this region!

SOW leaders told about their plans to start SOW's and worship training in every YWAM centre in India, two locations in Nepal with plans to reach Bhutan. The SOW in Philippines has been travelling with their SOW to different locations in Philippines and have also been reaching out to Cambodia and Vietnam. The Indonesians are on Bali and Manado islands with fledgling SOW's and getting support from the Perth SOW. We heard about the SOW in NSW, Australia, hopes to revive the SOW in Thailand, and perhaps new SOW plants in Japan and elsewhere.

Most importantly, we became "family" in those days. We met one another, had meals together, worshipped, prayed and blessed one another. Hearing the stories from our founders knit us together as a tribe, sharing the same goals and values. We are a tribe of worshippers, united to call the nations to worship the one true God.

Blessings,  Belinda

Psalm 133 A song of ascents.Of David.

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
