Dear fellow song-writing YWAMers,
In recent months, a worship publishing company called “Consuming Worship” has approached YWAM North America with the interest of producing a nationally distributed worship CD that allows the worship of YWAM to influence the churches. This is an amazing opportunity for us as a mission to have greater access to the church as our worship music and spirit is exposed to a larger audience. This is right in line with what God has been speaking to our mission about being a resource, partnering and collaborating more with each other and with the body of Christ.
Think about the possibilities – we all know the impact and influence that Hillsong, Passion, IHOP, etc. has had on the church because of the music that has come from their midst. YWAM indeed has something to offer and is writing songs that the church should have access to.
In response, we are pulling together songs that have been written by YWAMers (in English for this first project), in an effort to capture the spirit of what God is doing in our midst. We are looking for:
1. Original songs
2. Great musicians
If you have any interest in collaborating on this project with either your creativity or experience, please let us know. At present, Kristy Wilke from YWAM Montana is serving as the collector of original material and gatherer of musicians, and together with a team from YWAM Denver, Orlando and Tyler, we are working with Consuming Worship to see this project become a reality.
