International SOW Gathering

October 17-20th, 2012

YWAM Chennai, India

There is a growing sense that we need to gather, re-focus, and press forward in our mission now more than ever.  With this in our hearts we are planning an international gathering for all School of Worship leaders and emerging leaders. 

Many of you joined us for the SOW "DNA" gatherings in the past couple years, others of you only heard about them and wished you'd been there, too.  All of us longed for more time and to meet the rest of our "tribe" so that we could get a sense of what God is saying to us for this coming season.  God has already spoken to YWAM that there is a new wave of missions coming and He has also been known to send out His worshippers to prepare the way for the rest of His people to enter the land and His promises. 

When we were seeking the Lord about when and where we could gather,  the YWAM family in Chennai, India welcomed us and will be our hosts for these four history-making days.  The School of Worship is developing in several locations on this sub-continent: Chennai, Lonavala, Delhi, Coimbatore, and Nepal with more to come. Coming to Chennai will be an investment into the SOW in India as well as in the entire region.  It will be a time of impartation, a time of release, a time of fellowship, and a time to listen to God, but most of all it is a time to gather from the four corners of the earth and worship our King together. 

Please talk with your local base leadership about helping make it possible for you to attend this International SOW DNA gathering; it is an investment into your own UofN training programs because of what you'll be able to take back home with you from these meetings.  Kevin Norris (College of Christian Ministries), Belinda van de Loo (College of Arts & Sports), Pete Sifuentes (long-term SOW leader from YWAM Montana, USA), and Bob & Kathy Fitts (Founders of the SOW) are all hoping to be present at this event.  Presently we have over 30 SOW's world-wide in over 25 countries that are being invited to this event - we plan to celebrate Him as the nations gather!

We are each paying our own way to get there so we will definitely keep the costs on site as low as possible (more about that soon).  It's "only" 4 days because there are a number of SOW's scheduled at that time so we wanted to make it possible for SOW leaders to leave their school in the hands of their staff for those days.  With so many people coming to India there will also be individual opportunities for you to minister at different locations, if you're interested.  We're hoping that SOW leaders and teams in India could plan some seminars and/or connect with local church fellowships for all those teaching and ministry gifts!

Please pray about joining us in Chennai in October because it won't be the same without your involvement. It will cost you money and time, but we believe God is calling His tribe of worshippers together to speak to us.  Let's rise up in faith and believe Him together for this!
